Garrett Construction Company was established in 1954, by Mr. A.C. Garrett.  The company started out doing dredge work, pile driving, running tow boats and barges, which has been phased out and the focus moved on to the work we do presently.  Civil Construction is the main focus of our business today. 

Garrett Construction takes pride in providing such services as asphalt and concrete paving, dirt moving, site work, utilities, and equipment rentals.  The magnitude of work our company performs has evolved from one dredge and one bulldozer to multi-million dollar jobs.  Garrett Construction Company has provided work for entities such as The Army Corp of Engineers, Port of Corpus Christi, United States Navy, Texas Department of Transportation, Reynolds Metals, and many more.  Although the type of work has changed over the years, the underlying philosophies instilled by A.C. Garrett still prevail. 

Since Mr. A.C. Garrett’s retirement, the business has been turned over to his son Jon J. Garrett, President and grandson, Grant A. Garrett, Vice President, who continue to run the business as they were taught.  Hard work, dedication and perseverance are just a few of the values inherited from Mr. A.C.
